Let’s work together 🌎
I enjoy collaborating with people and organizations around the world to foster a more private, secure, and compassionate online sphere grounded in democratic principles, environmental justice, and respect for human rights. Much of my work involves translation in both directions: helping technologists and tech companies appreciate the social and political implications of what they build, and helping NGOs, policymakers, think tanks, and others understand the technical mechanics behind what they’re commenting on.
Here are a few concrete ways we could team up. Email me and use my PGP key if you’d like.
1. Pitch or Brainstorm a Project 📌
Have a project that could use a technical hand or a critical perspective on modern digital technology? Tell me what you’re building, where it stands, and where I’d fit. Alternatively, let’s talk it through and explore how we might work together.
2. Get on My Radar 💬
I have a wide variety of interests and am often cooking up new projects and assembling teams of collaborators for commissions, open calls, research projects, creative / civic interventions, and other opportunities that don’t fit neatly into a category. If you’d like me to keep you or your organization in mind for future opportunities, let me know.
3. Propose a Creative Output 🎨
I love working with artists and curators, and I increasingly believe artistic interventions are essential to the uphill battles the digital sphere presents. Tell me about your preferred medium and what you envision.
4. Bring Me into the Fold 🎤
I give talks, support journalists with independent technical investigations, help decision-makers think and communicate strategically about digital issues, and mentor young people. Tell me what you have in mind.
